Hello! My name is Natasha Weimer and I am a 20 year old student at Georgetown University. I was planning on being a sociology major but I have recently decided to take some time off from school and start pursuing my career. I am very interested and intrigued by children and childhood development. I would ultimately love to work with kids and continue along this path as possibly either a caregiver or educator. I have been a nanny and a consistent babysitter for families since I was in high school, and throughout my time here at college. Being able to take care of children is a skill I would definitely say I have acquired. My experience beyond working for families includes being a Summer Camp Counselor for 3 years at WES (Washington Episcopal School) in Bethesda, MD. I also taught Spanish to second graders every Saturday for over 2 years. Read more I volunteered in the ER department as well as the Pediatrics Department at Georgetown University Hospital and kids would come through there all the time. As to working with families, throughout college I have worked steadily for three families. My first year, I started caring for a one year old girl in Northern Virginia and still continue to care for this families' children- as they also have had another baby since then, now about one year old as well. Over the summer I became a full-time live-in nanny for a baby girl who was about 14 months old when I started. It was a completely different dynamic than what I was used to but it was a great experience. The third family I started with was during my sophomore year of college and it was a 15 month old boy. I am versatile, responsible, reliable, organized and full of energy. I am also fluent in Spanish. I used to have my CPR and First Aid Certification but as the years have gone by, I am sure it has expired but would consider taking it again.
