Hi, Some housekeeping first:) At this time I am only interviewing with families who have definite dates for childcare needs that match my availability.  If you have dates that I'm available for, I will gladly meet and interview with your family.  I understand that many people want occasional "on call" sitters (which is great & exactly what I do) but please contact me when you know you will need a sitter.  I have a very flexible schedule and will make time to meet you and your family before the needed date/time.  I've found this is an easier approach for as it saves time for everyone!  Thanks in advance! Currently I work for the Federal Bar Association (a normal M-F 9-5 work week, (there's some flexibility to this), but I love children and always looking for ways to spend time with them.  I'm generally very available on weeknights and weekends and have Read more a flexible schedule.  I can do almost anything given enough advance notice.   My childcare experience has a lot of variation and range.  At 25, I am the oldest of three girls with the youngest being 12.  From 13, I grew up as her babysitter.  Through high school and college, I volunteered at My House in Atlanta, GA (my hometown).  My House is a foster home for babies from premature to 4 years (http://www.myhouseweb.org).  I volunteered extensively and spent a summer working there.  I learned to care for children at a variety of levels (from 2 lbs to 20 lbs) and with a variety of health problems.  In addition to these two major aspects of my life, I was a babysitter for many many neighborhood families throughout high school, and a nanny during college.  I am still very close with the families that I nannied for, and one of the little girls (well almost 15 now) still visits me.  I live in Arlington, VA near Ballston and I drive a relatively new Honda Accord…this is to say that I am reliable and would have no problems getting to your house.
