I am a mother of two grown children and I am now blessed with my first grandchild. I have been in the corporate world for 20 years now, but I started out as a nanny. I now find myself in the position to work part-time and would love to go back to child care. I am loving, kind, and I would have to say I am "old school." I believe in teaching children manners and to respect adults and others. I don't believe in spanking or physical punishments, but children need to know that there are consequences for bad behavior so a time out chair is sometimes necessary. I also believe in praising a child for a job well done and teaching them to take pride in their accomplishments. I love watching a child's mind work and grow. I'm a huge fan of reading and doing crafts. TV time is Read more fun and has its place, but I like to get their creative juices flowing. For older school age children, I try to form a friendship with your child and teach respect for others and their differences. I would like to find a long term position that offers 25 hours a week (3 days a week).
