Hello, my names Lisa and I have been mother's helping and babysitting since sixth grade. In sixth grade I started mother's helping with a 10 month old girl, and then their newborn girl as well. I continued this throughout middle school, and continued to occasionally babysit the girls throughout high school. Throughout high school and summers off in college I have babysat different neighbors, family members, and family friends' kids. During the summer of 2012, I worked as a camp counselor at a special needs camp. During the 2013, 2014 and 2015 summers I nannied two boys, now ages 11 and 13. I also nannied a boy and a girl (rising K and 2nd grader) during the month of August 2014. I enjoy working with and taking care of children so I became a teacher. I work in Fairfax County, and I am going into my fourth year of teaching. Read more I taught third grade for two years and I am going into my second year as a first grade teacher. Lisa took care of my two kids (5 and 7) for a month his summer. She was wonderful. With the kids she was energetic, creative, set great boundaries, and had appropriate expectations for manners and independence. As an employee she was punctual, easy to communicate with and up for anything I planned for them. As a family that does not watch tv or use 'screens ' she was a great fit as an active and attentive caregiver. When she returned to her teaching job during the school year I still asked her to do babysitting jobs! I recommend Lisa without reservation.
