I have been working with infants and children for the last 10 years and I also have three children of my own. I have my Associate's degree in Psychology and I am continuing my education in hopes to become an Adolescent Clinical Therapist. I am also CPR and First Aid Certified. I love working with kids on a personal level by learning their personality. I use a hands-on approach to gain the trust of both parent and child. Providing childcare isn't just a job, it's accepting to play a large role in a child's life and help guide them as they grow and develop. I love fun and smiles but I also like to promote educational activities appropriate to the child's age (for example going over the alphabet or doing puzzles with a toddler, or practicing tummy time with an infant!) I strive to become not only their babysitter, but one of their best friends. I have a genuine love and passion for kids and I have realized this is my life's calling. I think that providing childcare would be the best job for me while I am continuing my education because it's doing what I love, working in the direction I plan to go with my career and also allows me to keep my son with me while I work, which gives him the opportunity to interact with other children. I have excellent writing and verbal skills, my specialty is drawing and arts & crafts, skilled hider, below average seeker, animal lover, excellent board game player, excellent story time reader and swing pusher, great at cuddling and I know the tickle monster very well, excellent boo-boo kisser, and I may not be the best singer or dancer but that doesn't stop me from putting on a show. I don't mind embarrassing myself for a laugh (well for the kids at least)! It's so easy to make them smile and I absolutely love doing it.

I am 28 years young and I would love nothing more than to be part of another family. I have always had a natural gift with being good with children. I was previously a STEM and art teacher for a private academy for about 3 years however I have 8+ years of childcare experience. I love watching little minds grow and knowing that I helped them reach their full potential physically and mentally.

Hello! I'm Rachel — a private pilot currently based in Rappahannock, Virginia. I’m organized, dependable, and genuinely enjoy caring for little ones. Being a sitter is something I love because there's nothing more rewarding than helping children learn, grow, and just be themselves. I also understand how important it is for parents to feel at ease while they’re away, and I’m here to make sure your family is well cared for during that time. My schedule is flexible, I have my own vehicle, and I’m happy to commute if needed. I’m also great with pets, so your furry family members will be in good hands too! Looking forward to the opportunity to support your family.

Hello Kristin: My name is Le Anna Ewell and I know I am a good fit for your family. I am currently a healthcare aide for a young man with cerebral palsy and a multi-classroom teacher at a childcare center. I have been in childcare for over 10 years, more if we consider childhood babysitting. I have an associates in Teacher Specialization, a certificate in CPR/First Aide, certifications in Medication Administration, and several hours of development training for each age group. I started to get into childcare simply because I found it came easy for me at a young age. Once I got older and started my education I realized that my techniques and nurturing characteristics were part of the growth and education process for children's development. I've been hooked since my first early childhood development course!

I absolutely love working with kids and am very good with them. I took a peer mentoring course for 3 years (from when I was 15-18 years old) where I traveled to an elementary school 3 days a week and helped out in a classroom with kids who needed extra attention. I have helped look after family members many times (ages 5 months to 7 years old). I have worked as a nanny for multiple different families over the last 5 years for children of all different ages. I am very alert and aware when watching after kids and never let them out of my sight. I love being a caregiver because kids are so fun to work with and I am still a kid at heart so I love to be active with them. However, I enjoy helping out with things like homework as well and I am very good at it because of my experience with peer mentoring. I studied biology at University of Mary Washington and I graduated with my Bachelor's in 2017. I played varsity softball at UMW as well so I am good at handling many things at once and I believe am very responsible. I also combined my love for softball and working with youth by volunteering at various softball camps for ages 5-15 for several years. I also currently assistant coach for a 14u travel softball team. Like I said, working with kids is something I really love and enjoy and finding employment opportunities where I get to work with them all the time is fantastic!

Hi families! My name is Chloe Lawson, I’m 24 years old and currently studying to become a dental hygienist at Laurel Ridge Community College. I have over 2 years of professional nanny experience, along with 6 months as a preschool teacher, and I absolutely love working with children of all ages—from cuddly newborns to curious school-aged adventurers. I’m CPR/First Aid certified and also certified to teach through Penn Foster. I bring a calm, nurturing energy to infant care—whether it’s bottle feedings, diaper changes, nap routines, or simply offering loving one-on-one attention during those important early months. With toddlers and older kids, I’m all about creativity and exploration! I love making crafts, spending time outdoors, going on little adventures, and finding fun, enriching ways to keep children engaged and supported. I’m experienced with larger groups of children and always stay organized, patient, and attentive to each child’s individual needs. Whether you’re looking for full-time, part-time, or occasional help, I’m currently looking for a flexible and kind family to support. Please feel free to message me with any questions—I’d love to get to know your family and see how I can help! 💛
