Hello dear families! I've been an Au-pair for three wonderful families with kids in between 2 and 11 years old, pets always being a big and important part of the families as well. After my last au pair experience I worked as a FT Nanny for an amazing family and their 14 months old little lady, following a season working in a high school as a Distance Learning Assistant in the Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools district in NC. I have a diverse background and have used au-pairing and 'nannying' as a great tool to explore different places, and immerse myself deeper in the US culture. I'm a native Spanish speaker, originally from Venezuela and a Materials Engineer by profession. Hi! My name is Amy! I'm very passionate about working with young children (0-5)! I enjoy engaging children in developmentally appropriate activities and taking them outside to play! Arts and crafts and sensory bins are fun to do on rainy days, or not so rainy days too! I really enjoy getting to know each of the children I work with and like to come up with activities to do with them based upon their interests. I have my bachelors degree in child and family development, a graduate level certificate called the EC-SEBRIS (early childhood socio-emotional behavior regulation intervention specialist certificate), as well as my masters in child development all from San Diego State University.
