Hello, my name is Amber and I am a Certified Nursing assistant who also has 8 years experience babysitting and caring for children. I love engaging children in activities to stimulate their mind including science projects, art, music, outdoors and nature, animals, reading, board games, exercise, and cooking! I am not your typical babysitter! I love to see a child learning. They can be so quick to pick up on things, and even when they struggle it is so exciting to see it when they finally get a concept, and to watch them work at it in the process. I like to involve children in everything I am doing. Many kids love to help and feel such a sense of accomplishment when you tell them that they are really making a good effort to be of assistance. I have learned through my experience that positive reinforcement is the way to Read more go! Most kids just want to see how happy you are when they do something right. They love to see that there are rewards for great behavior, whether it just be a kind word, or stickers, or a fun activity like making an ice cream sundae for doing something extra great (only with your permission, of course). I also believe in teaching manners, and I hope this is okay with you! Please and thank you are the best words in a child's vocabulary. I have also found that when kids start acting out, it many times is due to boredom, and exercise is my solution! Let's go outside, ride bikes, do some jumping jacks, chase the dog, whatever works. This works wonders in my experience. I am also open to your ideas as well if you have found that other things work; you know your kids best and I am a great listener. Amber has bee watching my daughter for years. She provides a stimulating nurturing environment for my daughter. Whenever she comes over to watch my daughter, she assists with cleaning duties and ensures that my daughter is properly fed.

Amber arrived shortly before her scheduled time. This was great as I was headed out to work. During the day, I received updates and pictures on how my daughter was doing. This was greatly appreciated as it's hard enough to leave my sweet girl. By the end of the day, my daughter was well fed, well rested and in a very happy and playful mood. Amber was very interactive with her throughout the day and even managed to take her for a walk during the 5 hours that she was here. Amber was punctual, energetic and full of smiles. If I weren't going back to working nights, I would gladly have her as a full time nanny. I was able to rest assured that my daughter was well taken care of as evidenced by her huge smile at the end of the day. Thank you Amber for putting my mind at ease!!
