As the middle child of 9 and the 24 year old aunt of 4 nieces and 3 nephews, I have had a lot of experience not only babysitting from ages 0-16 but also teaching. Although during high school and college I primarily worked jobs that did not involve childcare in my off time I assisted family and friends by providing personal child care. I often would perform baby sitting and nanny duties for them diaper changes, preparing and cleaning baby bottles, giving them baths, dressing them, making meals, putting children to bed, after school care, tutoring, and assisting children with their homework. etc. Although I graduated from the University of Louisville with a bachelors of arts in Humanities with a concentration in Cultural studies and Asian studies with a minor in Chinese studies, I’ve also completed an Arts Integration education course, interned in the education department of Crane House Asia Read more Institute in Louisville, KY where I created art activities for children's groups which taught them about various Asian cultures. I will be completing a ASHI (american safety and health institute) CPR, AED and First Aid certification course on Sept. 10th through Family 1st Virginia Healthcare and Safety Training Center. I love teaching children and creating fun interactive activities/games which involve science, math, health, exercise, sports, the humanities such as art, music, dance, culture, history, language (English, Spanish & Chinese). For early elementary school aged children I try to get them start or reinforce things that they're already learning like the alphabet, their colors, numbers, etc. I enjoy taking them outdoors to play and going on field trips to various parks, bowling, laser tag, museums and beaches in and near Richmond as much as possible. A little about me, I'm originally from Louisville, KY. I'm a very outgoing, energetic, patient, dependable, easy-going, open-minded but disciplined person. My schedule is extremely flexible and I can start immediately. I have my own car and I’m available to work Monday to Friday between 6 pm to 8 am and Any time on Saturday and Sunday.
