I am a licensed teacher in the state of Virginia. I have spent the past 15 years caring for children of all different ages. I now have a son of my own and I am looking for the ability to stay with him and work. My philosophy when it comes to raising children is somewhat simple: lead by example. By using please and thank you with the children they will learn, by helping them to pick up they learn to pick up. I am against using electronics as entertainment. I get kids outside as much as possible. In my past experience as a nanny we were out of the house just about everyday, whether it was walking to nearby parks, taking short drives to other parks. I would take them to the zoo, aquarium, and the Udvar-Hazy museum. We would also do a lot of different crafts.
