I am a forty-something conservative, light-hearted, very experienced mom. The best way to share how I would be with your sweet babies is to share how I have been with mine. I believe in lots of time with nature, books, play, creativity, and study...not electronics. I believe in telling your kids yes a lot, but requiring that they accept no (and never caving to whining). I appreciate both introspective, quiet kids and vivacious kids, as I had one of each. I teach respectful replies and administer tons of grace. I also believe when an adult makes a mistake it is important that they apologize to the child. I am a Christian. I have homeschooled my two boys for 14 years and my oldest graduated in 2018 with four merit-based scholarships; one was a four-year Air Force ROTC scholarship. He just completed his freshman year at the toughest school in the Read more country, the Virginia Military Institute. This wasn't achieved through an insane regiment, but simply figuring things out as we went. I share this because I bring with me, essentially, built-in teaching and tutoring skills. I can help bridge some gaps if they are struggling. I'm looking for a consistent part time role supporting a family that I can help thrive. I am not a 15 year old babysitter, but more of a stable nanny that you can trust. I volunteer with Civil Air Patrol along with my sons, so I already have a FBI background check on file. I am an Air Force veteran, as is my husband. One final thing: I am a little OCD about safety- but not freakishly OCD.... just like a mama bear and hawk combined.
