McLean Little Elephant Daycare was established in 2008 as a private, Fairfax County licensed, home daycare by Gretta, the Executive Director and Owner. Little Elephant Daycare has a large indoor space and a spacious fenced-in backyard. The backyard has plenty of room for kids to run around and get exercise, a large covered patio with endless toys to play with, ensuring outdoor playtime can still happen on rainy days, and a full playground with a slide, swings, and a seated picnic area. McLean Little Elephant Daycare is fully licensed by Fairfax County and is inspected by the Office for Children twice a year and by the Fairfax County Fire Department annually. It is a pet and smoke free home, and TV is not allowed. Children are able to participate in arts and crafts, reading, music/dance, and more with many toys, puzzles, and games to choose from. The indoor daycare space Read more has dedicated nap time bedrooms away from any distractions and noise so that children can feel safe and secure while they nap. Gretta has over 35 years of experience with children of all ages in many group settings. Gretta is constantly striving to operate her daycare in the most professional way possible to ensure her daycare children are receiving the very best care. In order to do so, Gretta attends in-person and online workshops and training sessions throughout the year to stay up-to-date on the best tools and strategies to help a child’s growing mind develop to his or her highest ability.
