Hello! I am a 30 year old Master's level licensed social worker, with 5 years post graduate experience. I have worked in a daycare setting, as an in home nanny, and in various settings during my social work career, including most recently in a pediatric hospital setting. I am looking for a family that would like to do a nanny share, in which I would be the nanny and would also have my 8 month old daughter. My passion for developing and nurturing the lives of children lead me to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Family Studies and Human Development and then on to graduate school for social work. My husband and I are relocating to the Richmond, VA area from Washington, DC due to an exciting employment opportunity for my husband. I am looking to take a step back from social work and tap back into my child Read more development experience, while also being able to spend more time with my daughter. Therefore, I feel doing a nanny share with another family would be a wonderful way to integrate my passion of being a mother and nurturing and educating children. I am looking for a family with a child around the same age as my daughter. I would structure the day based on both children's schedules to ensure that there was plenty of developmental play, reading, time outdoors (as weather permits), art projects and other developmentally appropriate activities. I am looking to start sometime in April, and my start date is flexible. I would like to host your child at my home, but I am also open to coming to your home with my daughter. My hours of availability are flexible as well, but I am looking for normal work day hours. I am asking for $13/hr or a comparable set weekly rate (with set hours).
