Hi, all! My name is Ellen, and I’m a childcare provider in Richmond. Since my early teenage years and ever since, I’ve been babysitting, nannying, and teaching in different capacities. Childcare has been a part of my life for so long because I love it so much- the constant growth, excitement, joys, and challenges make it so rewarding. The core of my belief system involves mutual respect. I believe that children should be trusted, believed, and active participants in their care. I strive to balance the goals set by the parents/caregivers and the desires of the child(ren), all with a healthy dose of creativity and fun. I’m currently concluding my care for an infant and have worked as a caregiver for a broad swath of age groups! Additionally, I speak conversational French and have acted as a ballet and tap dance teacher for children as young as 3 years old.
