I’m currently a rising senior at Hollins University studying English with a coursework concentration on education. My goal is to become a reading specialist for young children. I have over 5 years of experience being responsible for and educating young children. In my experience, I have worked at a school, child care center, private homes, public library, and climbing wall. During that time, I had the opportunity to work with infants through elementary school in both age-restricted and mixed-age classrooms. At the first daycare I worked at, it was required that you work in the baby room first, giving me professional experience in caring for infants ages 6 months and older.
