I have had experience in child care for two years now :) Recently in the fall of 2014, I became a nanny for a wonderful family that I currently work for overnight. some may think a babysitter and nanny are the same thing, but they are completely alike and different in so many ways. Yes, as a babysitter you create a relationship with the child or children you are caring for. As a nanny you create the relationship as well, but you also become apart of the family. That is why I love my job, there is never a dull moment and plenty of memories. I have obtained my CPR and First aid certifications, currently trying to obtain my MAT training. I took 2 years of ECC ( early childhood careers) in high school. I have worked in a daycare setting for 8 months and I have awesome references. Jocelyn was hired as a summer babysitter for my 3 girls ages 3, 4, 7. With clear guidelines for house rules, expectations, and a few reminders we made it through the summer with success. During 6 weeks, she did not miss a day and my girls enjoyed her coming over. She played with my children and made sure their needs were taken care of while I was at work. She often prepared crafts for my kids on her own and they enjoyed the activities. I plan to continue to hire her in the future as needed for date nights.
