Hi there! I’m Henley Davis, a Virginia Beach native with a B.A. in Sociology from the University of Virginia. I’m a trusted, experienced, and caring babysitter your family will love. I have been involved in child care for the last 8 years, with extensive experience both as a babysitter and nanny. I’ve worked as a nanny for 3 families and worked as a babysitter for well over 20! While at UVA I majored in sociology, a choice reflecting my lifelong love and skill for helping children grow into the best version of themselves. My love for kids is demonstrated by my participation in UVA's Young Women Leaders Program, in which I mentored several young girls from disadvantaged schools in the Charlottesville area. I love getting outside, and I enjoy hiking and camping in my free time. One of my favorite spots for kids is First Landing State Park, where I've Read more led several children's camps. There’s nothing better than some good ole fresh air and sunshine, and nothing makes me happier than nurturing kids with a passion for the outdoors. One of my favorite moments in all of my years of childcare took place during my very first day with the McAllen Family when I was saying goodbye to their youngest at the end of the day. She immediately ran up to me and gave me a big hug. Of course, I thought it was adorable as it happened, but my heart was truly warmed when her parents’ jaws immediately dropped, saying that she doesn’t even hug some family! I truly feel I have a special talent for connecting with kids. My childcare experience and education have truly enhanced my natural talent for connecting with children and helping them thrive.
