They were reassigned to another state, and moved in June. They graciously posted a letter of reference on this sire. After they left, I accepted a part time position over the summer, and have recently decided to continue working with this family. For personal reasons, I felt the need to work less hours, and be closer to home and family. My availability will now be updated for occasional nights and weekends. I am an experienced childcare provider and have previously worked long term, and short, for a variety of families. I have a fun sense of humor. Twelve years ago, I earned a Master’s degree in Education and have over seven years of teaching experience in public education at both the high school and middle school levels. In my early years of motherhood, I operated in-home daycares for infants to pre-school aged children. I have taught and assisted many times in church Sunday School classes (nursery to high school) and have led and assisted with Vacation Bible School (nursery to high school). I have also led and assisted with youth groups and activities to include attending week-long summer camps and weekend retreats. I’m a divorcee of a retired serviceman. For those military families reviewing my profile, I’m very familiar with life in the military and the challenges that are presented along the journey. Thank you for your dedication and service! Needless to say, I have a genuine love for children of all ages and enjoy teaching and nurturing them; helping each one grow and learn to be the unique person they are created to be. Activities I take pleasure in are walking, reading, crafting, healthy eating, spending time in the kitchen and listening to music (dancing to the music, as well, even if someone is watching!). These are also some of the things I like to do with children, and of course, encouraging them to find and pursue their own interests and participating along with them. Life is certainly meant to be enjoyed, but there are times the fun might need to wait. You can be assured that your children will be accountable for their personal responsibilities (when applicable) like chores and homework (which I’m more than willing to assist), but who says these things can’t be fun? Hello! I have about 5 years experience working with children. I started working with kiddos when I was about 14 years old. I started with watching my younger cousins and helped in my local church. In high school I was in an early childhood education class for three years. Two of the years I was a TA. In this class we had a running preschool. I helped all the students come up with lesson plans to teach the children. I also helped my teacher with other duties. My senior year I got a job as a preschool teacher and worked part time after I got out of school. I was a preschool teacher for about two years, and for about six months I worked as a resource teacher. I also babysat on weekends and other instances for a few families I knew. I have experience with ages 0-12 years. I absolutely LOVE working with children and their families as well.
