My name is Kiera, I am 19 years old and I attend Sweet Briar College. I am currently home on summer break and looking for employment. I am certified in Early Childhood Development from VOTECH located in Virginia Beach, VA. To get this certification I had to complete a two year program that extended through my junior and senior year of high school. During my training, I had to write lesson plans and carry them out in a preschool that had up to 16 children in it. With the lesson plans I was taught what to do in any and all emergency situations. I feel as though this training as well as my internship and completion at Northlanding Elementary School prepared me for employment in the child care field.
