Hi Sittercity.com families! I am a fun-loving and responsible BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) working in Virginia Beach, and I have been babysitting and working with kids for as long as I can remember! I began to babysit my 2 nieces (now 7 and 12) when I was just 11 years old, worked as a camp counselor from 13-17, and volunteered throughout high school with respite programs for families who have children with special needs. I have worked as a full-time nanny and for various babysitting services throughout the years, and I have gained experience caring for children as young as just a few weeks old! I started my work with children with developmental disabilities as an outdoor trip leader, where my staff partner and I were responsible for kids for 12 days straight in the wilderness backpacking, rock climbing, and rafting. Through this experience, I gained valuable skills in Read more problem solving and tackling issues with children, but most of all, I learned how to be quick on my feet in coming up with fun and exciting activities and games! I have worked in the field of behavior analysis with children with autism and other developmental disabilities for almost 5 years now, and I absolutely love it! I received my Master's degree in Behavior Analysis through Ball State University in August 2017, and I currently work full-time as a BCBA. I have comprehensive experience with children with a variety of special needs including but not limited to: communication disorders, physical disabilities, feeding issues, extreme behavior problems, aggression, complex medical needs, and elopement. I am currently looking for occasional nighttime and weekend hours to pay off those student loans. :P Bottom line, I have highly experienced, a lot of fun, and I would love to meet you and your family!
