I have worked at the Youth Devlopment Center for about 5 years as a teacher and a director. As the director I am responsible for coming up with classes offered for the summer and hiring teachers. As well as making sure every teacher is prepared for the summer by going over their lesson plans. As the teacher I am responsible for making lesson plans for designated classes. Classes range from 1st-7th graders. Responsible for chaperoning children while they are located at the YDC. Charged with maintaining a fun and safe work environment for the children. Also, I worked at Children of America as a lead teacher. I was responsible for making sure all children in the center are in a safe environment at all times. Also responsible for making sure all diapers, meals, naps, and learning skills happen at the appropriate time.
