I have been a caregiver and nanny for over 8 years now. I nannied and tutored in the summer for families when school was out for the summer. I was a long term substitute teacher for 7 years with a specialty and focus in elementary and early child development. Implementing daily lesson plans through learning and play. I also have a nursing back ground and medical assistant diploma. Most of my training was in pediatric care and gynecology training during clinicals for 1 year. My most recent assignment was that as a caretaker for a sweet elderly woman for almost 3 years in DC. My job was to create a daily schedule to include reading, painting, crafting, interactive games, light house keeping and simple meal planning. Also, i have two adult children now, whom I homeschooled for 4 years during their elementary years before entering middle school.
