My name is Shelby Cushing, I am an experienced kind, creative and positive caregiver. I have recently completed my Bachelors of Arts in Psychology with a concentration in Developmental Psychology at Castleton University. My education has given me experience and great understanding of how the human brain develops and functions. Through my past experiences with children I am highly aware of how children (of all ages) not only develop, but how they learn. I have worked with children of all ages over the years. In high school I taught a preschool class and volunteered to work with a 3rd grade teacher in her classroom. Some relevant classes taken during college include education classes, human growth and development, and cognitive development. While in college, I also gained a great deal of experience while working in Head Start classrooms. These experiences have helped shape the young professional I am today.
