I'm currently a full time lead teacher in a childcare center, but will transitioning to student life this fall quarter at Western. I won't be a full time student until Winter, so in the meantime I'm looking for a somewhat flexible alternative to retail work this school year! I've worked with every age group but specialize in school age (ages 5-12). I have a lot of experience working with bilingual or ELL students and am HCA certified (meaning I have experience giving care to children living with autism). I am very sensitive to a child's needs but am also firm and consistent. I have worked with every personality type and I'm always looking for ways to fulfill their needs. I must admit, I enjoy a challenge! I've been hit, kicked, spit at and worse; I've had a rather impressive turn-around rate with children who have behavioral issues through consistent rules Read more and support from parents and staff.
