I am a special education teacher who has decided to take some time off to stay home with my own young kids. I love caring for children and have a passion for teaching through fun hands-on activities, science experiments, cooking, and art projects. I believe in balancing structure with free play, allowing for engaged, interactive instruction as well as time for imaginative play and fun outings (going to the library, park, zoo, etc.). I am comfortable caring for children of all ages, multiple children, and children with special needs (as the majority of my 18 years as a working individual have been serving families in this way through nannying, teaching (9 years in Tacoma Public School District), and providing respite care).
