During my teenage years, I worked part-time as a neighborhood babysitter watching kids ages 0 to 9 years. I found it to be an easy and delightful experience to build trusting relationships with the children in my care. I worked for a couple years as the nursery supervisor at my church, taking care of children ages 0 to 4 years during church services. I have also worked with autistic children and mentally delayed adults. I love kids and teenagers, with their myriad of challenges and complexities.
