Hello future family! I have a solid 8 years in childcare with that primarily involving infant and toddler care with special emphasis on twins or siblings. I began my childcare career at a Montessori school as assistant teacher for 7-8 children ages 1-1.5 years old. After working in this setting for about a year I realized I had much more interest in pursuing private in-home care, and one on one experiences with children and families. From there I began nannying an 8 month old girl full time and eventually down the line cared for her and her infant sister often. Throughout my experience I have cared for several different sets of infant twins and siblings of varied ages under 4. I have STARS training credits with emphasis on infant and toddler; have some credits in Early Childhood Education; should be up to date on CPR and First Aid (but will Read more update if necessary); have experience in overnight care; infant and toddler swimming aid/ pool supervision; have much experience driving children to and from activities in various styles of cars/SUVS; experience with cooking nutritious meals for children and can assist with Baby-Led weaning; aware of and highly proficient in planning developmentally appropriate activities; have a thorough understanding of infant/toddlers social, cognitive and emotional development needs. I am currently in school for a degree in Psychology and will be taking my second course in Early Childhood development as one of my electives this Summer. Because of my extensive experience in the various realms of childcare I am active in seeking a family that shares similar values in raising children; wants to coparent as a team with their nanny; is open-minded, understanding and has a common goal of raising confident, caring and open minded children; is open in communication.
