Hi, I’m Becca. The twins I’ve been nannying for the last two years just started preschool so I am looking for my next family. I am a Mama to a 3.5 yr old boy named Jonah. I’ve been bringing him to work with me since he was four months old. It’s really important to me to find a family that would be open to my little guy coming along. A little about me, I’ve been a professional nanny for the last five years and have excellent references from past employers. Prior to that I worked for Bright Horizons childcare center for nine years. I spent three years exclusively caring for infants from 5 weeks to 15 months, the rest of my time at BH was caring for children from 5 weeks to 5 years old. One of the things I love about working with children is building a relationship with the family. I am honest, reliable, and appreciate having open communication with the families I work for. I love spending time outside, and I’m not afraid to be out in the rain. I love planning activities around the children’s interests- this usually includes doing sensory play, reading, music, and arts/crafts. I enjoy taking kiddos on outings to the park, library, zoo, etc. I am a big believer in gentle conflict resolution and helping kids work through their feelings. I am looking for a position with a caring and like minded family that is offering guaranteed hours, paid holidays (if on a scheduled work day), paid vacation days, and being paid over the table, preferably with taxes withheld. All of the families I have worked for have lived in the Ballard area, so driving to north Seattle is fine with me.
