I have over 15 years experience working with children - 13 years as a nanny for many families and 2 years as a Montessori teacher assistant for University of Washington Children's Center. I have worked with children of all ages, from newborns as early as 1 month old to teens. Hey! My name is Mia, I'm 22 years old and have my AA degree and begin my Bachelor's program in the Fall (mainly online). I currently work as a nanny for an 11 month old who is planning to transition to a Montessori daycare in the next couple months and that's when my availability for full time nannying will open! Prior to this I work as a discovery preschool teacher (ages 24-36 months) for 8 months. I taught at the center to gain some classroom experience and to be able to implement what I was learning about early childhood education in school in person. While I very much enjoyed working at the center I'm glad to be back nannying! It's more personal and I get to give the kiddos more one on one attention. Before working at the center I nannied for siblings 0-12 months/ 12-24 months. That being said I'm very comfortable with ages 0-36 months and am open to older!
