Hi! A little about me, I grew up in the Snohomish area. I have a two-year-old son, who would accompany me to nanny gig. As that is what I have been doing at my current job and it’s worked out well. We love being outside exploring, going to parks, reading books, playing, making art and going on walks with our dog. My son is obsessed with tools and construction vehicles! In my spare time I love reading, practicing yoga and meditation. I started volunteering as a young teen at Sunday school in the infant/toddler class rooms and summer camps. At 15 I began babysitting, continuing through college. I graduated from Western Washington University in 2018 with a BA in Human Services. During that experience I was able to take early childhood development classes and completed an internship through an elementary school counseling/behavioral department. I’ve always been inspired and motivated to Read more be of service to others, in particular children. While in college I was able to blend my caregiving heart with my desire to help empower people. My focus is on empowering children by teaching emotional regulation tools. Such as mindfulness, yoga, meditation, breathing, grounding, play and self-awareness support. I like to utilize conscious coaching/role modeling to build self confidence and practical lifelong skills. In my own parenting I utilize gentle parenting, positive discipline. I believe in coming from a place of love, compassion and curiosity when interacting with children. Implementing kindness and firm boundaries. Creating a safe environment both physically and emotionally. I like to listen to Unruffled by Janet Lansbury as inspiration. After I graduated from WWU I was working as a case manager until I had my son in 2020. When my son was 4 months old, I began nannying again for a wonderful family of four kids, who are now old enough to attend public school, so my last day is September 8th. I am current with my food handlers permit, CPR and First Aid training. I am open to providing light household chores/cleaning and meal prep. I have a reliable vehicle and a clean driving record. I do not smoke and am comfortable around pets. I am seeking part time work currently. Pay is negotiable. I can provide references upon request.
