I love children, and started babysitting them from a young age. I nannied part-time through college, then au paired in Switzerland, and after a time spent in offices and a special needs school, wanted to return to the home/family /more personalized care setting. At that time I took a nanny job and stayed with them around 7 years (eventually weaning off hours as kids grew, and getting part-time teaching and customer care jobs); we are still close, but they live a couple of hours away. I have continued teaching kids part-time, and love to facilitate good conversation, laugh and be a little silly with them, while teaching important life lessons. I love the outdoors and highly value exercise and creative play, including unstructured time, in accordance with research.
