Meet Mckenna

Hello my name is McKenna! I graduated with my diploma and associates this last summer. I plan to pursue elementary teaching as my future career because of my passion for working with children, and making a difference in my community. I have been a babysitter for multiple families with children aging from 4-12. Was a part time nanny for a couple months in the fall to two boys 8 and 10. Would babysit one family's kids for 10 hours at a time when the parents had hefty hours at work. I know how to cook, and have job experience as a prep cook in a family restaurant business, as well as at WWU. I grew up with a brother and sister with special needs. My sister having epilepsy in her younger years resulting in a two year delay, and my brother having high functioning Asperger. I often helped my mother Read more by making sure they were taken care of. These experiences have shown me how much joy I receive when I’m caring and helping kids. Not only by helping them navigate, but being their support when they need it the most.
