Hello! I am Alena (she/her) and I would love to be your date-night/part-time/full-time nanny/babysitter. I can start immediately. I am available on weekdays. I also can be available on the weekends as long as there is a week's notice in advance. My schedule is pretty open for now. I live near the Lynnwood area but am willing to commute. About Me: I am 25 years old and have worked with babies/toddlers/children and teens for a big part of my life. I know Vietnamese, Korean and English. I also know basic sign language for toddlers (ex: more please, read, water, etc.). I am LGBTQIA+ and would like to work with a family that is accepting and compassionate about others. I would like families to know in advance that my hair is dyed and that I have nose piercings. I also have tattoos, mostly botanical, which I can cover up easily. I Read more understand if that is something you aren’t comfortable with your children seeing and just wanted to let potential employers know about it. I enjoy doing arts and crafts and going outside. I love animals and have a cat and some reptiles. I also enjoy playing sports, reading, and listening/playing music. I also love cooking and would love to help your children explore that outlet of creativity. My first job was being a swim instructor. I taught ages ranging from 6months-adults. I realized that I loved to work with others and help them learn. I studied some early education in college and volunteered with a preschool that was connected to the University of Washington. After graduating, I worked for a Montessori school and specialized in Early Education (ages 0-5). I completed a few courses in that school and learned a lot about the Montessori technique. I took a break from working with children to pursue corporate work but I decided to come back to it because working with kids is more rewarding for me. I have all vaccinations as well as Montessori education. I’ve been trained in CPR/First Aid since I was 16 years old but recently forgot to renew it so I am renewing my certifications right now. I can drive and have a clean driving record.
