My background with children comes from being a camp counselor for three years, an after school nanny for 8 yr old for one year, and as a babysitter for my three young cousins. As a camp counselor for three years, I have had experience working with a wide variety of ages, 6-16. I taught skills ranging from kayaking and canoeing to high ropes course activities. Additionally, I was the camp mom for the 12 to 15 little girls living in my unit. For me nothing is more fun than teaching children a new activity, whether that is as complex as tying knots on a sail boat or as simple as how to make a train whistle with your hands. I believe in keeping kids engaged and that the goal of every day is laughing. I have a bachelors in Biology and love the outdoors and art. I am currently coaching Read more lacrosse for 26 rowdy high school girls and hiking as much as possible in my time off. I love to bake and enjoy cooking. I am CPR and first aid certified.
