Meet Candy

Greetings! I am a lifelong early childhood educator, having taught in mixed age kindergartens, pre-schools, and also worked with adolescents for many years. I am a Waldorf teacher by trade, but have also had training in Montessori, High Scope, and R.I.E. methods of working with the young child. I love to sing, to tell stories, as well as read book to children. I think we should be outdoors each and every day,and explore tha natural world. I do not believe in screens as a substitute for interaction with people, but am not opposed to the occasional movie. I am able to set boundaries, build relationships, and believe inthe good that lives in human beings. I love pets, and have some of my own. I have raised two chidlen to adulthood, and they are both self sufficient, loving people who work in fields that give them joy (teaching and writing).
