Hello! I’m 35 years old and I started babysitting when I was 12 years old as a mommy’s helper for a 4 month old baby. I continued babysitting him through high school on weekends and during summer break and throughout the year for overnights to support his single mom’s work travel. That kid is 23 now! It is so fun to watch children grow up. I supported myself through college by nannying for a couple of children as well. For the last 12 years I’ve been mostly farming, but volunteered at a childcare collective for a local non profit. Most recently I provided childcare for 2 kids, one infant and his older brother while running my own farm. I’ve had to quit farming because of a back injury I sustained 3 years ago (I can still walk and lift, just not the intense labor required for farming full time) and Read more the only “job” I can imagine doing is to continue supporting and caring for people (of all ages). I love to sing and play music (guitar, banjo, ukulele), dance, craft, imaginative play, outside adventures, kid gardening, and so much more! Since I have no plans to have my own kids, I truly cherish the relationships I have the honor of building with kids in my community.
