Thank you for taking the time to read my profile. My name is Chandra and I am 32 years old and new to the Port Orchard area. I was born and raised in Olympia and that is where most of my references are from. I have been in the child care industry most of my life; when I was 12 I started a babysitters club and did that until I was about 16. I continued working with children in the next 10 years as a family photographer for Sears, Olan mills and Lifetouch Portrait Studios. Unfortunately, Due to an injury, I had stop working full time and was put on disability. The hard part is, I loved to work, so I look for side jobs to keep myself busy. On 12/16/13, I made the life changing decision and I had bariatric weight loss surgery and have lost 180 pounds. I Read more am working on getting healthy enough to return to work full time, so I am looking for another nanny position to help with bills and this transition. I am a huge advocate of learning through play. Most kids don't realize they are learning while we are giggling and playing. You will be surprised by all the things yours child learns so easily. I have taught multiple babies/toddlers basic child sign language among many other life lessons and skills. I am very big on communications and family involvement and work well with specific tasks/lessons you want my help with. I have taken First Aid and CPR courses in the past, but they are currently expired though I am looking into refresher courses in the near future. I have paid for a background check on another child care site, and can share that information with you, but as of right now I don't have the extra money to pay for both site's background checks, but I can clear one no problem. I am a non smoker and though i don't have a vehicle right now, I do have my own reliable transportation; I ride my bicycle everywhere, but I do have a clean driving record and current driver's license as well. First Impression fair warning.....my hair is blue! *gasp* haha Some can be thrown off a bit by the hair, but hopefully you will first that I am very confident in my ability to work with kids. I am very comfortable teaching and love to get kids outside, weather permitting, Love to read and crafts are a common activity of mine too. If you think we could be a match please message me.
