Meet Alicia

I’ll be starting a two-year MA program at the Seattle School at the beginning of September, and am available 2-3 days per week. I have a Bachelors of Science in Recreation and Experiential Education, and I have extensive experience in recreation programming for K-6th grade. I also have experience working in a school setting as a teacher’s aid for a kindergarten classroom, as well as substitute teaching and individual tutoring in language arts for grades K-6th. I minored in art during undergrad, have 15+ years of experience in violin performance (mainly orchestras and church-related music groups), and I love hiking, backpacking, biking and swimming. If your kids enjoy art, music or being outdoors, then we have that in common! I have spent the past five years living in New Zealand working as the Assistant Director of a small university-level study abroad program. Although a very different age group, much of Read more my work experience is directly transferable, including my experience as the primary health & safety officer for the program.
