Currently I am 28 years old and an elementary school teacher. However my career with children began when I was about 13 years old and got my first babysitting job. I began watching a family friends' daughter. From there I moved on to babysitting other children in my neighborhood and town. For five summers I was a camp counselor (fourth and fifth years I was a director), a job where I gained experience working with children ages 4-13. I went to college to become a teacher in the early childhood years. Upon graduating I was hired as a first grade teacher. After one year I moved to Athens, Greece to teach abroad and then returned to the States as a Kindergarten teacher. I spent 3 years in New York working for the Harlem Children’s Zone as a kindergarten teacher. I just moved to Seattle in January with my boyfriend and Read more dog. Since then I have been teaching yoga partirme and kindergarten (now virtual learning). I am hoping to find a family to work for part time over the summer. I am patient, kind, active and engaging. I like to build strong relationships with the children I work with. Most families I have worked with in the past I worked with for years.
