In highschool, I took a couple classes. My 9th grade year, I took a class called "Learning About Children". That pretty much taught us everything about babies aged newborn-3 years old. It was the type of class that we took care of a babydoll for a week and got graded on it. My 10th grade year, I took a class called "Working With Children". This is where we put everything we learned to use. We had an actual day care in our school and we worked directly with those children. The day care was in the same class room we learned in. We created lesson plans for our kids and were really hands on every day. I didn't pursue child care after high school. However, my love of taking care of people didn't fade. I opted for direct patient care as a Dialysis Technician. This has equipped me with the Read more basic knowledge for emergencies as well. I am trained in Adult and Children First Aid/CPR/AED. I now work for Penwizard, which is a company that makes personalized children's books. I run the customer service end and manage all reseller orders. This has equipped me with all sorts of Peppa Pig, PAW Patrol, Shimmer and Shine, LEGO knowledge I need. ;)
