I graduated this spring with a degree in Kinesiology from Cal Poly and am currently working as a PT aide in the afternoons (12 - 7pm) during the week in Issaquah, I am currently applying to graduate school to become an OT so I will be available for the next year or two. My end goal is to become an Occupational Therapist and work with kids with special needs. I have been a babysitter/nanny since the age of 13 and love being around kids! For the past 3 summers I was a babysitter for a family of three in West Seattle so I am comfortable with watching three or more kids. A few summers ago I was a camp counselor for Seattle Parks and Recreation Specialized programs. I was responsible for the supervision and care of a group of 8-10 children with a range of disabilities (ages 4-21) each week Read more and worked with a co-counselor to plan and lead daily activities. I assisted campers in activities of daily living such as feeding, toileting, and dressing. This camp was a day and overnight camp, so I helped them with their normal morning and night routines as well. For two summer I have also volunteered at Camp Waypoint, which is a camp for children with physical and developmental disabilities. I gained 1:1 experience with a physical therapist who worked on teaching skills such as; bike riding, throwing, catching, balance, and coordination with campers. During all 4 years of high school I volunteered with Project Unified and was head coach our soccer and basketball team. F
