Above all, I am caring—caring, to me, is the most important quality in a person. Someone is caring for my mother in Ethiopia right now; I want to do the same for children here in Seattle. I recently moved back to the U.S.A. from Istanbul to be with my own, grown children. (I have previously lived in Maryland and Tennessee.) I have more than 4 years of experience as a nanny. I speak 4 languages: English, Amharic, Turkish, and Arabic. I am punctual, organized, and hardworking, and I am always willing to learn. For three years in Istanbul, I served as a live-in caregiver to twins who were two years old when I took up the position. At the same time, I also helped watch over the twins' three older siblings, who were 9, 15, and 16. Apart from the usual duties, I also gave the children English lessons. I Read more developed a very close relationship with the entire family. When I was preparing to come to the USA, they did not want me to leave them. For four years before that, I cared for a woman in her late seventies. The main task of my position was to keep her company, but I also helped wash her, cooked with her, did her hair, and so on. Over this time, we developed an extremely close relationship—to this day, I think of her as a mother. Before that, I cared for a one-year-old child for one year. I carried out all the duties that come with caring for a baby. I love cats, but unfortunately I cannot work in a home with dogs.
