Hi, I'm Emily! I'm 28 years old and am currently in graduate school full-time online for a Masters of Science in Computational Linguistics. About me: I just moved to the Queen Anne area from San Diego, I love rollerblading, playing tennis, cross-country running, chess, and I’m passionate about music, language, and learning new things. Experience: I have been babysitting since I was 16 and have ~12 years of experience working in with kids. I worked professionally in the industry as a childcare provider at a gym in San Diego for 3 years while pursuing my undergraduate degree. Additionally, during school shut downs in 2020-21, I worked as a full time nanny/distance learning tutor for a family of 4 (both parents were doctors). I became really close with both the kids (8,11) and the parents and find this kind of work extremely rewarding. I am CPR certified and have taken college Read more courses in child development and psychology. I've always been naturally very high energy - I think that as adults we lose a little bit of our playfulness in the name of responsibility, etc., and being around the raw emotions, curiosity, and creativity that children embody is a great way to get back in touch with these facets in ourselves.
