Hi! My name is Rachel and I'm a senior at the University of Washington. I study English Language and Literature with a minor in Environmental Studies, and am passionate about all things outdoors, animals, yoga, cooking/baking, and the arts; I love to implement different aspects of those pursuits into my time with kids. I enjoy creating projects to do and brainstorming fun ideas that we can all enjoy, and am willing to drive whenever necessary - I have my own vehicle and a current driver's license. I feel so lucky to have connected with so many amazing families in the past, and have learned so much from being around all kinds of children that I can't wait to continue this journey. I've always known that childcare was a calling for me as it is one of my greatest joys in life; I have six years of babysitting experience for children Read more ages 1-12, over a year and a half of nanny experience, and for the past year have worked with SPS in a professional setting at a tier one school. I am a certified tutor with Seattle Tutoring Services for all ages with specialties in high-school level math, science, language arts, AP level courses, and SAT prep. I have experience working with children with learning disabilities and IEPs. I have also worked at a cooking school, teaching large groups of children and adults how to make various dishes from scratch! I am certified in CPR/FA, Mandated Reporting, BBP training, and have a current food worker's permit. I am looking for part-time nanny positions for the summer and if my qualifications seem like a good fit, let's connect! Can't wait to meet you and your family! :)
