I am moving from Seattle to Portland to be closer to my family and figure out what the next chapter is for me. I’ve been a teacher for the last 9 years and volunteering/interning in education for the last 16. Im burnt out from the system and just looking to take some time away but still do what I love, work with kids. I worked as a part time nanny through college and then as a full time nanny before going to grad school. My first 3 years as a teacher I taught 3 varying levels of special education K-5. I then switched to teaching general education as a Kindergarten teacher at a PK-8 school. I looped down to PK and ended up loving it. For the past 5 years I have been the general education teacher in an inclusive preschool (students on ieps & students without) ages 3-5.
