I have 10 years of experience. I grew up in California, but spent the last 6 years in Seattle. While here I've learned about RIE philosophy for infants, and Montessori for older children. I believe in practice play is the best teacher, and children learning to express emotions with words will help them in the long run. I think it is okay for them to lose at games, because that becomes a teachable moment for them. I believe with my RIE teachings that infants are so much more capable than people give them credit for, I wont lie to you I have a soft spot for infants and toddlers. The way the look at the world just makes me so happy. I truly love working with children. I honestly love working with infants and toddlers as that is the bulk of my experience.
