Dear families, my name is Luyza, I am 27 years old, and I am from Brazil. I have been living in Washington for almost one year working as an Au pair, but I finished the program last week, so now I am searching for a occasionally babysitter position, I have 8 years of experience with child care including infants, toddlers, teenagers, and twins. Back home I was a science teacher and got my MSc in Biodiversity and Environment. I have enjoyed being with kids since my first time working as a nanny, and I love everything that this experience provides to me, like knowing the personality of each little kid, such as their personal and cognitive growth. Also, as an environmental educator, I enjoy bringing the kids outside and involving them with ludic activities and nature adventures, so I can show how the environment and interactions are important for our Read more well-being. My experiences: •As an Au Pair in the first family, I took care of two children, a 9 month-old girl and a 4 year-old boy. In the second family, I took care of three boys, 4, 6, and 9 years old. During the Au Pair Program, I’ve worked with different methods of education but always based on the parent’s choice. I also did all the duties like, changing diapers, feeding, taking them to school, laundry, organizing the room, etc. •In Brazil I had many experiences with different ages and families too, my longest was with an 8 -month-old boy in 2018,  I also took care of his older brother in 2011, at that time he was 5 years old. That made me very happy because after 9 years the family still trusted me to take care of his younger son! Another important experience was when I took care of my friend’s twins. They were 5 months old at that time. I am a very organized and clean person. And one thing that all families said about me is that I am very responsible. And communication and respect is the most important thing for me!
