Hi, my name is Lizi. I've been working in childcare for the better part of 8 years and have loved every minute of it! I've worked as a personal nanny for several families, and most recently I worked at Bright Horizons for 4 years as a preschool teacher from the infant classroom all the way up to pre-k. Currently, I'm finishing up my educational studies/teaching certification at UWB. This fall I will be interning at a Seattle public elementary school and am very excited to begin working in a classroom! With this busy schedule my availability is limited to date nights/occasional care. I have always had a passion for working with children. This started when I was young and was helping my mother with her small daycare that she operated in our home. The joy I got from helping my mother stuck with me and was the reason I went Read more into childcare. I know how important building secure relationships with the children in your care is. I strongly believe in taking a gentle approach when caring for children. I have extensive training on social/emotional approaches to childcare, and giving children tools and helping them learn to problem solve is very important to me. I understand that children are just beginning to learn how to navigate the world and their emotions, and do my best to guide them along the way.
