Dear Reader, It's great to write you and truly a pleasure! To kick things off I will share with you how long I have been working with kids and a bit about my skills. I started taking care of children when I was in high school whether it be my siblings or paid babysitting gigs and have worked with kids on and off since then. Overall, I am a diplomatic, empathetic, and morally ethical working professional, leader, and student who is skilled in providing the guidance needed for growing minds and those with open-minded perspectives. I am a great team player who resolves problems and conflicts professionally and personally using my strong communication and problem-solving skills. And am excellent at communicating complex information in a simple, relatable, empathetic, and entertaining manner! As a bonus, I have a keen eye for pattern recognition in various life circumstances and business categories. I Read more am passionate about promoting self-discovery and advocacy in people with neurodiversities and or individuals part of other marginalized groups. Hence, I am working on obtaining a master's in special education and will most likely work in a low-funded school district. I am here to teach not only social and emotional skills but to promote healthy growth and resiliency, and to show others the light that they have within themselves. I do this by assisting others in building confidence within themselves using positive reinforcements that are within reason of the child’s needs/abilities. For example, when I worked at the YMCA or nannied for my friend’s son, I used the philosophy of guiding and teaching with compassion while not shaming or guilting the little one for making mistakes and being human. I teach that having emotions whether they are rational or not is not an inherently bad thing and that we can learn to process them together. Mainly, I see my inclination for deeply caring for people and my natural nurturing ability as some of my greatest strengths. On top of these, I am courageous and vulnerable when needed, I practice transparency, and am extremely resilient. I have these skills not only to help children but have used them to aid and support my friends and family members, but only assisted when they were ready to accept the help. To sum up things, I am resilient and have many years of healing tools to defend, advocate, honor, and love not only myself but others as well.
