Hello! My name is Geneva. I have been working with kids for the past 15 years. I have experience as a babysitter/nanny, soccer coach, swim instructor, camp counselor, tutor, director of an after school program and daycare teacher. I have spent time volunteering with underserved youth locally in Seattle and Washington state and in Guatemala. Working with children of all ages from newborn to adolescence. I have experience working with children who experience developmental and learning disabilities/delays. Additionally I have experience working with children who experience medical challenges. I have a BA in Multimedia Journalism with a minor in human development focusing on child development. This fall I will start graduate school at Seattle University for my education specialists degree (EdS) in school psychology. I have worked the last several years at a daycare in Seattle. Working in a variety of classrooms from infant - 5 year olds. However I Read more have the most experience in the infant room. I enjoy working on developmental skills within the early childhood ages. While working at the daycare I have completed CPR certification, First aid certification, STARS 30 hours, and taken numerous certification courses through Washington State Department of Children, Youth, & Families. Some things to consider: I am willing to cook -I have experience working in a professional kitchen. I enjoy cooking for my family/friends. I took a nutrition class in college. I would be happy to help with meal preparations for the children. I clean up after myself and your child/children -If we make a mess I will clean everything up. Your home will be returned to how I found it. I enjoy working on developmental skills with your child/children -Struggling with sleep, eating, fine/gross motor skills, talking, potty training, etc.? I am here to help and will spend time working of these things with you! I have experience being a tutor -I am happy to help your child/children with homework, studying for a test, or working on making progress overall. Some things I need: -Proper payroll through W-2 -Starting late September will have grad school class on Wednesdays and Thursdays (starting at 4:15). Happy to come early or be flexible.
