Hi, my name is Katie! I have lived in Seattle for about four years, orginally from Pennsylvania. I graduated from Kutztown University with a Bachelors of Fine Art, concentrating in Painting. I enjoy working with children and find it very rewarding! I love how they offer a different perspective on the world. I have worked as a nanny in the past with 7 years experience.  I have experience working with children from age 1 to 12 and newborns from 3 months old. I am trustworthy and reliable. Also, I teach yoga and have a goal to take a pre-natal yoga teaching course. With my past work experience as an Assistant Pre-School Teacher I gained the necessary skills to care for children confidently and safely and completed STARS Training. Through this position I gained experience with each age group classroom such as newborns, 1 year olds, 2 year olds and 3-6 year olds. Read more My first job ever was working as a babysitter and I have worked for many different families since then. For one example, I worked as a nanny for a family with 2 girls; 3 months old and 7 years old. I would care for the infant during the day and pick up the older girl from school in the afternoon. They lived in the heart of Philadelphia, I am comfortable navigating kids through a city. I am comfortable lesson planning for all age groups, preparing meals, light housekeeping, changing diapers, creating art, playing games and adventuring outside! A close friend of mine told me about this website and I have been using it ever since.
